Swiss Seder Is
Unconventional
Geneva (JTA) — Morris
Abram's ecumenical seder is
the talk of the town.
The U.S. ambassador to
the United Nations in
Geneva held it at his home
here last week. And while it
was traditional in every
aspect, most of the guests
were non-Jews.
The American envoy in-
vited 16 Catholics, Protes-
tants and Moslems.
Each guest read a chapter
and sang a verse from an
English Haggadah prepared
by Abram's daughter.
Since no children were
present, Abram stole the
afikomen.

Israeli Boat Kills
Arabs In Dinghy
Tel Aviv (JTA) — An
Israeli navy gunboat killed
three armed Palestinians
and wounded a fourth April
12 in a clash off the southern
Lebanese port city of Tyre.
A military spokesman said
a Dabour-class gunboat on
routine patrol intercepted a
dinghy, which failed to re-
spond to warning shots and
orders to stop.
The dinghy, which ap-
peared to be ferrying ter-
rorist infiltrators to Israel,
was fired on.
The Israeli gunboat came
under fire from the Lebanese
beach for about three hours
while searching for sur-
vivors and wreckage.
