"The expensive, trendy din-
ing spot resembles some Los
Angeles restaurants. But, all
in all, you get a bettr deal for
the money in Detroit-area
establishments that don't
have to take a back seat to the
L.A. tourist traps."
FROM AUG. 28 issue of
Nation's Restaurant News .. .
"While this city's baseball
fans cheer on their surprising
first-place Orioles, the first
all-kosher stand in the major
leagues has opened at Memo-
rial Stadium in Baltimore.
"Featuring a limited menu
that adheres to the dietary
guidelines set by Jewish law,
the kosher stand offers a
choice of five sandwiches:
pastrami, turkey, corned beef,
salami and tuna, each selling
for between $4.50 and $4.75.
"For lighter fare- the outlet
also retails kosher hot dogs
for $2.50 and potato chips,
chocolate chip cookies, and
brownies for $1.25:'
