Where Oh Where Has That Refund Gone?
Many of those refunds that never arrive can be
attributed to illegible writing or the forms that were
sent in. If the people at the clearing house can't
read a form it usually ends up in the circular file
(waste basket). Here are a few things you can do
to help avoid this problem.
1. Always print the information requested on the
form.
2. If your printing is atrocious you may want to
take the time to type out the forms as well as the
envelopes.
3. Be sure to wash your hands before handling
the forms, if you have been sorting coupons or
reading the paper the newsprint will smear the
forms and make them difficult to read.
4. If your children are sending away for a
premium or cash be sure to check over what they
are sending before it is placed in the envelope. Many
a youngster has been disappointed because the per-
son that receives their request can't decipher the
writing.
