Offered To Aged
The Oak Park Outreach
Program is continuing its pro-
gram of offering interior
house painting. Oak Park
homeowners, age 60 and over,
may be eligible.

seniors' exterior walls must
exhibit some evidence or flak-
ing or peeling of existing
paint. Clients are responsible
for providing the necessary
paint, but all other materials
are supplied for them.

Group Forms
The senior adult depart-

formation of a mah Jongg
group on Thursday mornings
in room 239 of the
Maple/Drake Building.

Programs Set
At JPM Center
The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Building of the Jewish
Community Center conducts
a conversational Yiddish
class, taught by Helga Plon-
skier, on Fridays at 1:15 p.m.
in room 3 of the JPM.
A klezmer concert will be
presented by the Mid-
Michiganer Klezmer Band in
Jaffe Hall at 3 p.m. on Sun-
day. Refreshments will be
served in the JPM atrium and
assembly hall at 2 p.m. There
is a nominal charge.
The book fair video, "Mixed
Blessings," with Paul and
Rachel Cowan will be shown
in the atrium at 10 a.m. on
Monday and Thursday.
Les Goldstein, midwest ex-
ecutive director of Bar-Ilan
University will present an up-
date of the university's pro-
gram on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in
the assembly hall.
Following the lecture, the
first part of the movie, Bowery
to Broadway, will be shown.
The Yiddish Culture Club
will present Sarah Friedman,
raconteur, at its meeting on
Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in

PNA1 Meeting
On Wednesday
PNAI (Parents of North
American Israelis) will hold a
meeting on Wednesday at 8
p.m. at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Building of the Jewish
Community Center. Col. Lin-
da Shafir will report on the
Israeli election.
Col. Shafir has served 18
years in the Israeli army. She
is married, the mother of two
children, and is an attorney.
All parents of children liv-
ing in Israel are welcome.
