LITERARY TALENT
Over 300 people attended a
party at the Hyatt Regency
Dearborn honoring DR.
REUVEN BAR-LEVAV for
the publication of Thinking
in the Shadow of Feelings
(Simon and Schuster). Some
of the well-wishers
included: DONNA and
SAM FRANK, CAROL and
SAM SOBEL, SHEILA
SLOAN, RUTH and LOUIS
REDSTONE, ILANA BEN-
ZE'EV, BEVERLY
GOLDBERG and SEN.
JACK FAXON. The senator
pointed out that when he
stands next to DR. BAR-
LEVAV, "It's almost like
getting a sunburn."
LAKESIDE WEDDING
RABBI A. IRVING and
BARBARA SCHNIPPER of
Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses
hosted a wonderful
weekend of festivities last
month when their daughter
ANDREA married MARK
TANNENBAUM at the
Americana Lake Geneva
Resort in Wisconsin. The
outdoor chuppah overlooked
Lake Geneva. Some of the
guests included:
CHARLOTTE and
WARREN TESSLER,
GERRY and MIKE
SPALTER, GERRY and

'ULLA and DAVE
FREEDMAN, SARA and

wedding party did not have
to worry about the food.
The kosher caterers of the
resort are the

FASHION FANTASY
Temple Israel Sisterhood's
recent donor luncheon and
fashion show, "A Broadway
Fashion Fantasy," gave
RABBI PAUL YEDWAB a
chance to demonstrate his
comedy prowess. Upon
receiving the gift that the
women guests at the
luncheon received, lip
creme samples, Rabbi
Yedwab quipped, "With so
much kissing here at the
temple, this will come in
handy!" The fashion show,
coordinated by Saks Fifth
Avenue, featured oriental-
inspired sleepwear and
daywear by JOSIE NATORI
who was on hand for the
show, and sportswear and
eveningwear from designers
such as ANNE KLEIN,
DONNA KARAN and
ADRIENNE VITTADINI
and furs from the Reveillon
salon, all at Saks.
