"GITITEMAN

DID

IT!"

"We knew the type of
furniture we wanted, but
we just couldn't find it.
Now, with the new baby
almost here; I had enough
to do. I sure didn't need
the hassles of wading
through furniture stores
and salespeople and corn-
ing up empty."

"Then we heard about
Gittleman custom design-
ed furniture. With one call
they handled it ALL!
From custom designing
exactly the furniture I
wanted (and I'm talking
color, size and design)
through free delivery and
installation. Custom for-
mica furniture and custom service from Gittleman, there's
nothing quite like it."

"Oh, and their price? Let's just say I found many other
places to spend the money I saved."

"Thank you Gittleman, you did it!"

Kimberlee Rubin
Is Bat Mitzvah

Kimberlee Rubin, daughter
of Ellen and Jack Rubin, will
twin the observance of her
bat mitzvah at 9 a.m. Satur-
day at Adat Shalom
Synagogue with Dana Lvov-
sky, daughter of Ada and
Mark Lvovsky of Moscow,
USSR.
In 1972, before Dana's
parents were married, Dana's
mother requested permission
to leave the Soviet Union
with Dana's grandmother and
uncle. Their application was
denied because of the grand-
mother's supposed security
clearance at work.
In 1974, Dana's grand-
mother and uncle were per-
Mitted to leave for Israel but
by that time, Dana's parents
were married. They later ap-
pleid to emigrate as a couple
but were refused on the basis
of "secrets" Lvovsky learned
at his previous place of
employment, a Moscow
research and development in-
stitute, where he worked as
an engineer.
When Dana was born, Lvov-
sky was able to find work as
a carpenter, but was forced to
give it up due to physical pro-
blems. He now does odd jobs
to support the family.
Dana's father has taught
himself the Bible and writes
poetry. Both her parents par-
ticipate in refusenik ac-
tivities. The family has more
than 40 relatives in Israel.
Kimberlee has written to
Dana and will attempt to
reach the Lvovskys by phone.

Friedman Twins
Bat Mitzvah

Gayle Hallie Friedman will
be called to the Torah on the
occasion of her bat mitzvah on
Saturday at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek. Gayle is the daughter
of Beverly Friedman and
Harry Friedman and the
granddaughter of Molly
Wepman.
Gayle was assigned by the
Detroit Soviet Jewry Commit-
tee her first twin, Slavva
Grechiskin, a boy. Since the
twinning program only twins
boys with boys and girls with
girls, Gayle was assigned a
new twin, Inna Lederman,
daughter of Elizaveta and
Gregory Lederman. Gayle
chose to write to both families
until she heard of their per-
mission to emigrate.
The Grechiskins were given
permission to emigrate in
March, but their new home is
not known at this time. The
Ledermans have made aliyah
to Haifa, Israel.
