Flint Wainess will share his
bar mitzvah with his twin
Vladimir Bialik on Nov. 7
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Vladimir and his parents
were recently allowed to
emigrate from Kiev in the
Ukraine.
The son of Steven and
Diane Wainess, Flint has
been writing to Vladimir for
many months. The Bialik
family had applied for
emigration in 1979. Both
Flint's and Vladimir's fathers
are physicians. Mrs. Bialik is
an engineer. The family had
previously been refused an
exit visa for "insufficient kin-
ship."
