MUSEUM
Alisa Baginski, formerly with
the Israel Museum in Jeru-
salem, is curator of the
archive-museum. She
announced that two student-
faculty projects in the history of
design will soon begin at the
new facility. One will examine
techniques, designs, origins
and uses of some 200 pieces
of lace — most of them hand-
made — produced from 1890
to 1945 by Jewish, Catholic,
Arab and Druze craftsmen in
the Middle East, which were
recently donated to Shenkar.
