Students Sought
For Science Study

A national talent search is
under way to find 20 high
school upperclassmen who
show exceptional promise in
the sciences.
Those selected will be in-
vited to join an elite interna-
tional group of 75 science-
oriented individuals that will
attend the Dr. Bessie F. Lawr-
ence Summer Science Institute
at the Weizmann Institute of
Science, July 6 - Aug. 6 in Re-
hovot, Israel. Full and partial
scholarships are available.
The students will have the
opportunity to work alongside
top Weizmann Institute re-
searchers, using the most
sophisticated equipment, in-
cluding electron microscopes,
lasers, and computers.
Accommodations and meals
are provided on campus. The
cost of the program (room,
board, tuition, and tours) is
$1600, plus $50 for health in-
surance. Airfare is not in-
cluded.
Only science-oriented stu-
dents who will have graduated
high school by June 1987 (and
a few outstanding students due
to graduate in 1988) will be
considered.
The deadline for applica-
tions is March 1. For applica-

have its annual Brotherhood
Night program at 8 p.m. Tues-
day at the Jewish War Vete-
rans Memorial Home.
