Four To Study
In Australia
Four graduates of the
Lubavitch Girls' Cheder Day
School in Detroit recently left
for Melbourne and Sydney,
Australia. For the past two
years, the four were pupils at
the Beth Rivka Teachers Sem-
inary in Brooklyn, N.Y., where
they were accepted after their
graduation from the Lubavitch
Cheder system in Michigan in
1984. Three of the girls, Sheina
Mann, Chava Getz and Zipora
Mann, were selected from 100
applicants to complete their
teaching degrees with a two-
year teaching residency in
Sydney, at the Yeshiva Centre
of Bondi, Sydney, part of the
network of Lubavitch schools
there.
A fourth Detroiter, Esther
Shemtov, was chosen to par-
ticipate in a similar program at
the Yeshiva Centre (girls' di-
vision) of Melbourne.
