Dr. and Mrs. Milton Green
of West Bloomfield announce
the engagement of their son,
Dr. Daniel Green, to Dr. Ul-
rika (Riki) Birgersdotter,
daughter of Mr. and Dr. B.
Olafsson of Morsil, Sweden.
Dr. Birgersdotter earned a
degree in medicine at
Karolinska Institute, Stoc-
kholm, Sweden. She is an
internal medicine resident at
Vanderbilt University,
Nashville, Tenn.
Dr. Green earned a B.S.
degree at the University of
Michigan and a medical de-
gree at the University of
California-Los Angeles. He is
a resident in orthopedic
surgery at Vanderbilt Uni-
versity.
A late summer wedding is
planned.

1st Anniversary

Eileen Herzog, a former
Detroit City Ballet dancer
and founder-artistic director
of the Haitian Academy of
Ballet and Arts and "Les
Jeunes Danseurs du Haiti"
has been added to the Jewish
Center dance staff to teach
jazz.
She performed with the
Jo-Jo Smith and Peter
Jackson Companies in New
York and is a certified Cec-
cehetti Ballet training
teacher.
On Sunday, there will be
open classes for all young
people, grades six-nine at the
main Jewish Center from
1:30 to 3:30 p.m. All dancers
are invited. Come dressed to
dance. There is a fee.

To Hold Meeting

The monthly meeting of
the Yiddish Vinkl will be
held 2 p.m. Sunday, at the
Workmen's Circle Center,
26341 Coolidge, •Oak Park.
Several participants will read
short stories in Yiddish with
Chanukah as the theme. The
next Vinkl is scheduled for
Jan. 11. There is no charge,
and ail are welcome.
