Dennis and Debbie Silber
of West Bloomfield announce
the engagement of their
daughter, Sheri Lynn, to Dr.
David Mark Whiteman, son
of Milton and Harriet
Whiteman of Windsor, Ont.
Miss Silber was graduated
from the University of Michi-
gan with a bachelor's degree
in political science. Presently,
she is a law student at the
Wayne State University
School of Law.
Her fiance was graduated
from the University of West-
ern Ontario School of
Medicine in London, Ont. He
is currently completing an in-
ternship in Toronto and will
start a residency in plastic
and reconstructive surgery in
Vancouver, B.C., beginning
in July.
A June wedding is planned.

The Ben-Gurion Men's
Club of the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch of the Jewish
Community Center will have
a luncheon in honor of its
fund-raising activities at
noon today in the men's club
room.
Officers are Irving Forman,
president; Sam Kleiman and
Sam 'Brodsky, vice presidents;
Esther Fishman, financial
secretary.
Archie Leslie will show the
film, Cruising Down the
River, at 2 p.m. Sunday in
the assembly hall.
The Music Lovers Hour
will feature a video of Fiddler
on the Roof at 1:30 p.m.
Monday in the JPM assembly
hall.
Harriet Berg's dance troupe
will perform a Chanukah
dance at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in
the JPM lobby. At 11 a.m.
Phyllis Rochen, JPM libra-
rian, will moderate responses
from selections from A Bintel

At noon Tuesday, the So-
cial Service Club, under the
leadership of Sophia
Hoffman, will celebrate
Chanukah with the adoption
of its 10th Israeli orphan, a
latke party and a dance per-
formance by the Harriet Berg
dance troupe in Jaffe Hall.

Michael Margolin, super-
visor of Sinai Hospital's med-
ical school services depart-
ment, will discuss "The
ABC'g of Aging: You and
Your Health" at 1 p.m. Tues-
day in the JPM assembly
hall. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, a
travelogue will be shown in
the assembly hall.
The JPM Senior Adult
Choir will perform Chanukah
songs for the residents of
Borman Hall at 10 a.m.
Wednesday.
"Ask the Pharmacist" will
be the theme of a program for
senior adults at 1 p.m.
Thursday in the JPM assem-
bly hall. David Edwards will
be on hand to answer ques-
tions.
Senior adults will partici-
pate in a games afternoon at
1:30 p.m. Dec. 21 in the JPM
Jaffe Hall. There is a charge.
