Academy Names Honet
`Clinician Of The Year'

Dr. Joseph C. Honet has
been named "Distinguished
Clinician of the Year" by the
American Academy of Physi-
cal Medicine and Rehabilita-
tion. Dr. Honet is the chair-
man of Sinai Hospital of De-
> troit's Department of Re-
= habilitation Medicine.
The national award is
given to outstanding physiat-
rists for their excellent edu-
cational and patient care
achievements. Only three
medical professionals nation-
wide receive the award each
year.
Dr. Honet, who started
Sinai's Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Department,
has been on staff at Sinai for
20 years. The department
\-3. currently has nine physicians
on staff and eight physicians
in training.
Dr. Honet was honored
Wednesday in Baltimore. In
addition to his duties at
Sinai, he is a full-time af-
filiate professor of physical
medicine and rehabilitation
at Wayne State University
and a staff member at Cot-
tage Hospital.
