Lawrence (Larry) Reich,
one of the founders of Fo-
land's Department Stores,
died Oct. 3 in Deerfield Be-
ach, Fla. He was 78.
Mr. Reich came to Detroit
from New York City in 1946.
In addition to founding the
Foland's chain, Mr. Reich
also established Reich
Jewelry and Adler-Reese
Jewelers, both in Oak Park.
Mr. Reich was a member of
Temple Israel, Louis Mar-
shall Lodge of B'nai B'rith
and the Oak Park Masonic
Lodge.
He is survived by his wife,
Ruth; two daughters, Marion
Reich of Badger, Calif., and
Judith Kroot of Bloomfield
Hills; a brother, Emil Reich
of New York; and two grand-
daughters.

Florence Primack, past
president of the Golda Meir
Chapter, Naamat USA (for-
merly Pioneer Women), died
Oct. 7 at age 84.
Born in Lithuania, Mrs.
Primack also was past
president of Negbah Chapter
of Naamat USA. She was a
member of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
She leaves a daughter,
Mrs. Sidney (Geraldine) Bas-
kin; two sons, Dr. Verne of
Saginaw and Dr. Marvin of
Stockton, Calif.; two brothers,
Martin Zeman of Montreal,
Que., and Isadore Zeman of
Cornwall, Ont.; and nine
grandchildren.

Sadye Goldberg

Sadye J. Goldberg, former
vice president of Industrial
Heat Treating Corp., died
Oct. 5 at age 89.
Born in Michigan, Mrs.
Goldberg was a member of
Temple Beth El, Hadassah
and was active in tasks for
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion.
She leaves 60 nieces and
nephews, grandnieces and
grandnephews, great-grand-
nieces and great-grand-
nephews and cousins.
