The Jewish Community Cen-
ter's Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch (JPM) will host a picnic
for seniors at 10 a.m. Tuesday
when a bus will leave the JPM to
picnic at Belle Isle and visit the
Millender Center and the Omni
Center. There is a charge. For in-

Rabbi Lane Steinger will ad-
dress the seniors in the assembly
hall of the JPM at 1 p.m. Tues-
day.
The film Swingtime Johnny,
starring the Andrews Sisters,
will be shown in the assembly
hall at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
There is a time change for the
Friday afternoon programs at
JPM. The lecture on Aug. 8,
featuring Dr. Morton Plotnick,
executive director of the Jewish
Community Center, will begin at
12:45 p.m. It will be followed at
1:30 by the Erev Shabbat pro-
gram. Cantor Stuart Friedman of
Cong. B'nai David will sing
Shabbat tunes. Both programs
will take place in Jaffe Hall.
Steel Band Plays
At Shepherd Park
The city of Oak Park will pre-
sent the 21st Century Steel Band
in a free concert at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday in Shepherd Park, at
Church and Northfield.
In the event of rain, the per-
formance will be held in the Oak
Park High School auditorium.
