Rev. James Lyons
- Rev. James R. Lyons, execu-
tive director of the Ecumenical
Institute for Jewish-Christian
Studies, will address a parlor
meeting on behalf of the insti-
tute at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the
home of Beverly and Merton
Segal, 1468 Inwoods Dr., Bloom-
-‘ field Hills, hosted by Marjorie
- and Saul Saulson.
The institute aims at creating
understanding between Chris-
tians and Jews by focusing on
theological and social anti-
-- Semitism, religion and the
Holocaust, Christian views of Is-
rael, Jewish views of Christians
and Christianity. domestic is-
sues such as prayer in the
schools and action on behalf of
Soviet Jewry.
Programs include clergy
dialogues, interfaith youth and
adult study groups, speakers
bureau, educational resource
center, Holocaust Memorial
Center tours and lectures and
ecumenical tours to Israel.
The host committee includes
Harold and Barbara Berry,
Maurice and Linda Binkow,
William Davidson, Alexander
and Judith Ehrmann, Irwin and
Bethea Green, Hugh and Caro-
lyn Greenberg, Rabbi Irwin and
Leypsa Groner, David and Do-
