Temple Israel Sisterhood's
first annual Chanukah bazaar
will take place on Nov. 18 at
Temple Israel.
The bazaar booths will feature
jewelry, stationery, accessories,
clothing and more. The booths
will be open from 10 a.m. to
noon and 2 to 4 p.m. At noon,
luncheon will be served by sis-
terhood members, followed by a
slide presentation by
journalist-photographer Linda
Solomon. Her topic will be
"Focus on the Famous."
Reservations for the luncheon
must be made by Nov. 14. for
reservations, call the temple
office, 661-5700. There is a fee.
Mrs. Solomon is currently
photographer/columnist for the
Detroit News and a featured
guest contributor on the "Good
Afternoon, Detroit." Having
studied at the University of
Michigan, Mrs. Solomon went
on to win photo credits in Time
and Newsweek magazines, the
Los Angeles Times and the Phil
Donahue Show/special events
still photographer, among
others.
The sisterhood welcomes the
community.

Talk On Terrorism
Richard Lobenthal will dis-
cuss "International Terrorism"
when he joins the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation Women's Di-
vision at its "First Monday
Group" program at 8:45 a.m.
Monday at the main United He-
brew Schools building.
Lobenthal, Michigan director
of the Anti-Defamation League
of B'nai B'rith, has also been a
civil rights consultant through-
out the state and has served on
the faculty of a number of
Michigan colleges and univer-
sities.
Breakfast will be served.

the Women's Division social
awareness committee; Beverly
Baker is associate chairman.
