Michigan Region Women's
American ORT, will hold its
capital funds reception honoring
Mayor Ada and Dr. Irwin Eisen-
feld, of Mt. Clemens at 8 p.m.
Wednesday in the Bloomfield
Hills home of Dr. Harris and
Phoebe Mainster. The guest
speaker will be Margery
Kohrman, National Golden Cir-
cle chairman.
Mayor Eisenfeld has been an
active ORTist for 32 years, hav-
ing served as president of the
Mt. Clemens Chapter. She is in-
volved in the Girl Scout Council,
Red Cross Board and the United
Fund Board of Mt. Clemens. As
the two term mayor of Mt. Cle-
mens, she has served on the
executive board of the South-
eastern Michigan Council of
Governments and has been
president of the Michigan Con-
ference of Mayors.
Dr. Eisenfeld has been a
member of the Mt. Clemens the
school board. He is a past
president of the Mt. Clemens
Kiwanis Association, a co-
chairman of the area United
Jewish Appeal for many years,
and a member of B'nai B'rith.
Ms. Kohrman's involvement
with ORT goes back more than
30 years, when she was a char-
ter member of the Larchwood
Chapter in Cleveland and later
served as president of the Cleve-
land region. By 1963, she was a
member of the national board of
WAO, and has since held many
portfolios at that level. Her cur-
rent involvement includes Gol-
den Circle Chairman and, in her
capacity as a national vice
president, WAO representative
to the central board of the
World ORT Union.
She has served as an officer
for the National Conference on
Soviet Jewry and is presently
involved with the Task Force on
Ethiopian Jewry for the Na-
tional Jewish Community Rela-
tions Advisory Council.

Mollie Lapides is Michigan
Region Golden Circle chairman.
Rochelle Lieberman and Arlene
Barris are capital funds co-
chairmen. Harriet Jacobson is
Michigan Region president,
Ruth Rosenfeld is chairman of
the executive board.

Schreiber, Susan Cuttner and
Vetta Wolf.
Chapter delegates were: Bar-
bara Weiner, Artisans; Hortense
Falk and Ann Burstein, Bal-
moral; Denise Diskin and
Myrna Tureff, Glennwood; Ger-
trude Brainin, Greater Detroit
Business and Professional; Lil-
lian Goodman, Parkwood; Shir-
ley Glicker, Southwoods; Mrs.
Barris, Summerset Woods;
Shary Tanner, Suburban Hills;
Rita Weston, Sutton Ravines
and Sheri Smith of the Topaz/
Career Chapter. District VII
delegate was Sharon Chudnow.

Dr. Mark L. Kahn, professor
emeritus of economics at Wayne
State University, received the
Alumni Faculty Service Award
from the university's alumni
association.
