Actress-singer Julie Budd will
entertain at the annual Detroit
Committee for the Weizmann
Institute of Science dinner
slated for 6 p.m. Sept. 4 at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The evening will pay tribute
to Detroiter Irwin Green by in-
augurating the Irwin Green Re-
search Fund in Neurosciences at
the Israeli science institute.
Miss Budd will be accom-
panied by the Austin-Moro
Band.
Beginning her singing career
at age 13, Miss Budd went on to
appear on TV, in nightclubs and
in movies.
She began her career on the
Mere Griffin Show and went on
to make 70 more appearances.
The late Ed Sullivan had her as
a guest, and subsequently she
appeared on the Carol Burnett
Show, Jim Nabors Hour, To-
night Show, Mike Douglas
Show, Steve Allen Show, David
Frost Show and Kraft Music
Hall,
She has appeared in concert
in London, New York, Boston,
Detroit, Canada, Chicago, Cleve-
land, Jacksonville, New Or-
leans, Saginaw, Rhode Island,
Connecticut, Taxes and New
Jersey,
In 198 1, she appeared in the
Walt Disney film, The Devil and
Max Devlin,
Miss Budd has appeared with
