The Midrasha — College of
Jewish Studies and the Allan/
Touro College are offering a
master's degree in interdiscipli-
nary Jewish studies at the Mid-
rasha.
The fall semester will begin
Sept. 3. The focus of the pro-
gram will be Jewish history,
Jewish education and communal
service.
Individuals with a baccalau-
reate degree from an accredited
institution and a background in
Jewish studies are eligible for
admission to the program. A
working knowledge of Hebrew is
recommended.
Courses are scheduled for the
late afternoon and evening
hours for the convenience of
students with professional re-
sponsibilities. -
The course offerings for the
fall semester include: "The Jews
of Islam" with Dr. Jacob Lass-
ner and "Biblical Law" with
Ruth Zielenziger.

Hebrew Language
Classes Offered

The Midrasha, College of
Jewish Studies will offer four
new beginner's Hebrew classes
during its fall semester.
Daytime classes will be held
at the main Jewish Community
Center on Mondays with Ruth
Maroko at 10 a.m. and on
Thursdays with Nira Lev at 10
a.m. at the Midrasha.
Evening classes will be held
on Mondays with Tamar Traub
at 7:30 at the Midrasha.
All classes begin the week of
Sept. 3.
A beginner's Hebrew class
will also be held on Tuesdays at
10:30 a.m. at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch of the Center
starting Oct. 15.
Hebrew language classes meet
for 16 weeks.

Dancers Company
Opens Auditions

Young Dancers Company, the
teenage performing dance com-
pany of the Jewish Community
Center, will have an open audi-
tion on Sept, 8 at 1 pm, at the
Center's main building,
Under the direction of Marina
S. Cantarella, this company is
composed of dancers age of 8.17,

They study dance, learn and do
choreography and.improvisation,
