The Jewish Community Center
day camp offers programs for
youth from pre-school to teens.
In the pre-school camp, 3 and
4-year-olds have the choice of
three or five half days per week.
Kindergarten campers have the
option of three or five half days or
five full days.
There are full day camps for
children in kindergarten through
sixth grade, where they partici-
pate in outdoor games, swim-
ming, nature, arts and crafts and
Judaica. A special events calen-
dar features cookouts, a Mac-
cabiad and a carnival.
Block specialty programs are
offered to fifth through ninth
graders. Campers design their
own activities. They can choose
from morning blocks of tennis,
gymnastic, performing arts,
dance and sports.
The JCC also has two travel
programs, Safari, for fifth and
sixth graders, which features
daily adventure trips to local
points of interest. The wave pool,
rollerskating, horseback riding
and movies are a few of the activi-
ties. Teen Caravan is the same
type of program as Safari except it
is designed for seventh through
tenth graders. Campers also go on
an extended three-day, two-night
trip each session to places such as
Kings Island or Toronto.
