Leaders of the American
Society for Technion — Israel In-
stitute of Technology from across
the United States will gather in
Detroit at a national board of di-
rectors meeting today-Sunday to
develop policy, programs, and
campaign plans for 1985-1986,
announced Martin Kellner and
Melvyn H. Bloom, ATS president
and executive vice president, re-
spectively.
Special workshops, committee
meetings, and social events are
scheduled throughout the
weekend, beginning tonight,
when the Detroit Chapter of ATS
will host a Shabbat dinner at the
Knollwood Country Club for
attendees, according to Dr. Joseph
N. Epel, Detroit Chapter
president.
Prof. Bilha Mannheim of the
Technion's Faculty of Industrial
Engineering and Management
will be the guest speaker at a
luncheon on Saturday at the
Somerset Inn. Prof. Mannheim is
a specialist on the human factor in
production, social problems, and
group dynamics of complex organ-
izations.
Wolf Blitzer, Washington
Bureau Chief of The Jerusalem
Post, Israel's English • language
daily newspaper, will be the
keynote speaker at a cocktail re-
ception and dinner to be held on
Saturday night. Blitzer is the
author of Between Washington
and Jerusalem, to be published in
the fall by Oxford University
Press. He will present an update
on the current situation in Israel,
focusing on the economy, Leba-
non, the revival of the peace proc-
ess, and U.S.-Israel relations.
