Taubman-Nosanchuk

Gale Nosanchuk and Richard
Mark Taubman were married re-
cently at the Troy Hilton. Rabbi
M. Robert Syme of Temple Israel
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Hyman and Sofia Tabak of South-
field and the late Mr. Samuel
Nosanchuk. Parents of the
bridegroom are former Birming-
ham residents Samuel and Lola
Taubman of Longwood, Fla.
Linda Nosanchuk was her sis-
ter's maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were the bridegroom's sisters,

Alyssa Taubman of San Fran-
cisco, Calif., an _ d Ruth Taubman,
of Hoboken, N.J., and Julie
Levinson and Claudia Adler.
Mark Sucher was the best man.
Ushers were Dave Nosanchuk,
the bride's brother, Dr. Jay Levin-

A weekend of celebration will
mark the tenth anniversary of the
Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor
March 15-16.
The celebration, which will
honor the school's founders and
past presidents, will start with an
open house 1 p.m. March 15. That
evening, the 43 students from the
"gan" (kindergarten) through
sixth grade will conduct a Shab-
bat service 6:15 p.m. at Beth Is-
rael Congregation on Washtenaw
Avenue. A dinner for the stu-
dents, their families and guests
will follow.
An evening of dance and
cabaret-style entertainment will
be open to the community on
March 16, beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Music will be provided by pianist

K. John Jarrett, disk jockey Rich
Hodder, and Di Klezmers Tzvai
(The Two Musicians) from Detroit
who perform songs in Yiddish,
Hebrew, Russian and English. A
post-dinner buffet will be in-
cluded. Tickets for the evening
are available by calling the school

nings.

100 And Counting

Pauline Hack will celebrate her
100th birthday on March 24.
Mrs. Hack is the co-founder of
the 69-year-old Hack Shoe Co.
She is a resident of the Franklin
Manor Convalescent Home in
Southfield.
