Cynthia Fran, to Rabbi Jordan
Matthew Parr, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lyle H. Parr of Southfield.
i , ) Miss Weiss was graduated from
; Lausanne High School of Mem-
' phis and received Bachelor and
Master of Industrial Engineering
degrees from the University of
Michigan. She is currently a con-
sulting human factors engineer-
ing at Advanced Resource De-
velopment Corporation in
Columbia, Md. She is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Rosenblum and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weiss and
the sister of Barbara Weiss of New
York City and Susan Weiss of
Memphis.
Rabbi Parr is a graduate of
Southfield-Lathrup High School
and received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in history from the Uni-
versity of Michigan. He is cur-
rently pursuing his rabbinic
studies at the Hebrew Union
College-Jewish Institute of Reli-
gion in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rabbi
Parr currently serves as student
rabbi for Beth El Temple of Mun-
cie, Ind. He is a candidate for a
Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters
degree and rabbinic ordination.,
Rabbi Parr is the grandson of Mrs.
Jack Parr of Southfield and the
late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sorkin.
He is the brother of Aric and Faith
Parr of Southfield.
A June wedding is planned.
