Jabotinsky Society
program is slated
The Jabotinsky _Society of
Herut Zionists of America will
have a Jabotinsky Memorial
Evening at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch
of the Jewish Community Center.
Guest speaker will be attorney
Jeffrey A. Sherman. Sherman re-
ceived a Bachelor of Arts degree
from the University of Michigan
and a Juris Doctor degree from
the U-M Law School. He is a part-
ner in the law firm of Sherman
and Sherman, P.C.
Sherman is a member of the
Herut Party and long-time sup-
porter of former Prime Minister
Menachem Begin.
The evening also will include
the showing of a full-length Is-
raeli movie. Cantor Hyman Adler
will chant the memorial prayers.
Eric Rosenow will provide piano
music.
Refreshments will be served.
There is a nominal charge. The

in rabbinical class
This fall, for the first time,
women were admitted to the rab-
' binical school of the Jewish
Theological Seminary at its New
York and Jerusalem campuses.

Shulevitz, daughter of the late
Cyd and Daniel Cullen of Detroit,
is married to William Shulevitz,

dinner-theater trip
The senior adult department of
the Jewish Center will have a
1 ) dinner-theater trip Oct. 4, meet-
ing at 5:30 p.m. at the Morris
Branch. Dinner will be at the
Beefcarver restaurant, followed
- by a show at the Stagecrafters
Theater.
There is a fee. All senior adults
