Beate Klarsfeld displays some of the material she has collected as part of her
documentation of war crimes committed by Walter Rauff

by the Mitterrand government.
And what happens when the
criminals are caught and tried or
they die off? She and her husband
will continue their work through the
Beate Klarsfeld Foundation. Based
in New York, the foundation prints
books and documents about Nazi era
war crimes. The non-profit founda-
tion depends on her lecture fees, at-

torney's fees from her husband's law
practice, help from friends and pri-
vate donations.
Right now she's seeking gov-
ernmental help: "I'd like to see more
pressure from the- United States on
Pinochet to expel Rauff."
If her past performance is any
indication, she just may achieve that
goal.
