NEW YORK — The
Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith (ADL) adopted
four policy resolutions on
domestic and foreign issues
at its national executive
committee meeting earlier
this month, in Palm Beach,
Fla.
In a resolution put forth
by Peter Alter of Detroit,
vice chairman of the ADL's
National Law Committee,
the organization advocated
paid leave for employees
taking time off for religious
holidays.
Other actions taken by
the ADL in Palm Beach in-
cluding the voicing of oppo-
sition to prayer and Bible
study on public school prem-
ises; a resolution opposing
any arms sale by the West
German government to
Saudi Arabia; and a com-
mendation for the United
States Government regard-
ing its decision to withdraw
from the United Nations
Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization.
