Concert at Main Center; Programs for Senior Adults
Singer-musician Yoel
Sharabi will appear in con-
cert 8 p.m. Feb. 11 at the
main Jewish Community
Center.
Sharabi has appeared on
stage, screen and television
in Israel, Europe and in the
U.S. In his performances, he
uses a variety of instru-
ments and sings in French,
Ladino, Russian and Yid-
dish, among others.
Tickets are available at
the Center cashier's office.
Meanwhile, the Center
is displaying the photo-
graphic work of Rodney
Smith, in an exhibit
entitled: "In the Land of
Light: Israel — A Portrait
of Its People."
The photographs con-
tained in the exhibit were
shot in 1976, when Smith
was a guest of the
Jerusalem • Foundation.
They depict the various
nationalities represented

Heschel_ Award Seeks Candidates
NEW YORK — The
Jewish Peace Fellowship is
seeking candidates for a
new peace award to be given
to a North American Jew
whose life has been dedi-
cated to working for peace.
Names for this award,
which honors the late Rabbi
Abraham Joshua Heschel,
