Bombed in Paris
PARIS (JTA) — A ter-
rorist on a motorcycle
hurled a bomb into the
Jewish-owned Oree du Bois
restaurant in the fashiona-
ble Bois du Boulogne sec-
tion Sunday injuring 30
patrons, several of them
children. None was seri-
ously hurt, police reported.
The restaurant, which
was packed at the time, is
owned by Robert Taieb, a
Jew who emigrated from
Tunis. He could offer no
reason for the attack except
that it may have been moti-
vated by events in Lebanon.
Taieb said he was not con-
nected with any Jewish
groups or with Israel.
A similar, more serious
incident occurred on Aug. 9,
1982 when terrorists hurled
a bomb into the Jo Golden-
berg restaurant in Paris' old
Jewish quarter, killing six
people and injuring 21. The
perpetrators, believed
members of a pro-
Palestinian terrorist gang,
have not yet been ap-
prehended.

Shamir Foundation for the
Visual Documentation of
Jewish Life in Poland.
The foundation will fi-
nance the photographing of -
Jewish sites still left in Po-
land, and the collation of
visual material on Polish
Jews all over the world.
The foundation bears the
name of the late Dr. Izak
Grunstein-Shamir, a well-
known diamond merchant
and public figure, formerly
of Tarnow in Western
Galicia, who was one of the
first emissaries sent to Po-
land by the state of Israel.
The funds for the founda-
tion have been donated by
his family.

lands will be honored today
by Bnai Brith International
when the Jewish service or-
ganization, celebrating its
140th year, presents her
with its International
Humanitarian Award.
The presentation, by Bnai

Kraft, will be made at the
Netherlands Consul Gener-
al's office in Rockefeller
Plaza, New York.
Princess Juliana will re-
ceive the award in recogni-
tion "of her dedicated com-
mitment to bettering the
lives of her people, her ex-
cellent leadership and her
devoted service to her na-
tion."
The Princess' mother,
Queen Wilhelmina, was
honored by Bnai Brith after
World War II for her
courageous resistance to the
Nazi German invaders and
for her defense of Jews.
