Polish Pledge
JERUSALEM — A group
of Orthodox rabbis from Is-
rael have been assured by
Poland's government that
Poland will restore Jewish
cemeteries that have been
neglected in Poland since
World War II.
Polish officials gave the
visiting rabbis written as-
surances that a committee
of Polish and foreign Jews
and the Polish government
would be formed to care for
more than?, 100 neglected
cemeteries.

Interest on New
Bond Tied
to Israel Visits
JERUSALEM (JNI) — A
new Israel Bonds certifi-
cate, whose promotion will
begin during the High Holy
Days, will link investment
in Israel and visits by the
purchaser to the site of his
investment.
The $250 certificate was
the result of the realization
that more people develop a
personal interest in Israel if
they see it for themselves.
Interest on the bond will be
issued only if the purchaser
— or his children or
grandchildren — visit Is-
rael. After three years, they
receive $300, and after the
full five years, $360. If they
don't visit Israel, they re-
ceive their $250 back.
