there . . . and friend Lenore
Paxton capably filled in
with her fine piano stylings
. . . Bill Street plays Sun-
day, Monday, Wednesday
and Saturday evenings .. .
Henry Feinberg is Sunday 3
to 7 . . . and Daniel Borgers,
Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday 4 to 7.
Sunday brunch has
gotten big at Rhinoceros
... table service ... and
classical harp by De-
borah Feld ... $8.95 price
includes a cocktail.
More
about
the
"museum-like" decor of
Rhinoceros . . . A chandelier
in the Green Room was im-
ported from Venice . . . orig-
inally made with candles
instead of tiny bulbs . . . The
parts of a Green Room
chandelier were all hand
blown.

In the Gray Room hangs a
heavy crystal art nouveau
chandelier that was in
Michael's 35-room home
when he lived at Golf Club
Estates on W. Seven Mile
Rd. between Livernois and
Woodward (Detroit Golf
Club) . . . It is from France
. . . made and imported in
the late 20s . . . with chrome
used instead of sterling
silver . . . since that was the
art nouveau thing in those
days.
This fall will be five years
for The Rhinoceros . . . It's
good to see owners who
work . . . an almost sure
sign of success . . . Michael
Tarrow is an art expertise
gent but not adverse to gen-
eral painting or wall hang-
ing . . . that is, when it
comes to The Rhinoceros .. .
Norman Schwartz is work-
ing his way back to the ge-
nial day host for which he is
noted . . . recovering from a
back operation at Beaum-
ont Hospital.
The elegant uniquiness of
Rhinoceros makes it a favo-
rite of so many . . . Little
wonder why.
INFORMAL MODEL-
ING by Boardwalk, Or-
chard Lake Rd., south of
Maple, is every Thursday,
12 noon, at Stage & Co. res-
taurant . . . with Shayna's
Place, Marni, Begadim,
Sacchi, Peanuts 'and The
Clothes Pin.
REAR COCKTAIL
lounge is no more at Dimit-
ri's of Southfield, Southfield
Rd. and 10 Mile . . . It's now
a banquet room with seat-
ing for about 120 people .. .
with privacy available by
specially-designed doors
that will "slip" onto brick
. . . Glass covering on the
small openings and Tivoli
lighting will make it a most
attractive room.
Plans are also already
in the works for a large ca-
tering hall by Dimitris
Syros . . . in the northwest
area.
SAMMY DAVIS JR.

records since his 1963 "Days
of Wine and 'Roses" album,

much better . . . His ven-
triloquism, acting and mod-
erling have caught on with
much gusto, but handsome
Gary is also an expert
meteorologist . . . accu-
rately forecasting the
weather as very few can .. .
He's a climatology consul-
tant for companies . . . and
has saved farmers hundreds
of thousands of dollars
Gary may soon become
affiliated with a local tele-
vision station which will no
doubt be interested in his
enthusiastic approach to
giving the weather . . .
While in California, Gary
played bit parts in 1'3
movies.
