Nursing Shaare Zedek Hos-

the Shaare Zedek School of
Nursing.
In conjunction with the

dedication of the Rabbi
Joshua Sperka Lecture Hall
at the hospital, the commit-
tee has prepared a special
brochure, "From the writ-
ings of Rabbi Sperka,"
which will be presented to
all dinner guests.

Candy Collected
for Needy Kids

The Candy Lady, a 23-
year-old project of Mr. and
Mrs. Lou (Joy) Landau of
Oak Park, will again collect
donations of Halloween
candy to be given to chil-
dren who are unable to go
trick-or-treating on Hallo-
ween night.
The candy will be donated
to the children at the Maxey
Boys Home. Candy should
be dropped off at the Landau
home, 24231 Gardner, Oak
Park. Deadline for dona-
tions is Nov. 12.

Psychologist
Wins Award

Dr. Myron M. Singer has
received the Michigan
Psychological Association's
Distinguished Psychologist
Award.
He has served in several
leadership positions in the
Michigan Psychological
Association, including
president during 1980. He
also serves on the executive
committee of the board of
directors of the Mental
Health Association in
Michigan.
Dr. Singer received his
PhD degree in clinical psy-
chology from Louisiana
State University in 1969,
and completed a two-year
residency training at the
University of Illinois,
Neuropsychiatric Institute
in Chicago. He held posi-
tions with The Children's
Center of Wayne County
and the Oakland County
Community. Mental Health
Services Board, before
entering full-time private
practice.
