Singer has received the Michigan Psychological Association's Distinguished Psychologist Award. He has served in several leadership positions in the Michigan Psychological Association, including president during 1980. He also serves on the executive committee of the board of directors of the Mental Health Association in Michigan. Dr. Singer received his PhD degree in clinical psy- chology from Louisiana State University in 1969, and completed a two-year residency training at the University of Illinois, Neuropsychiatric Institute in Chicago.
