Thirty years of direc-
torial services for the
Jewish National Fund
Council of Detroit by Percy
Kaplan will be given com-
munal appreciation at a
champagne buffet recep-
tion, 1 p.m. Oct. 17 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
The event is co-sponsored
by officers and directors- of
the JNF and committee
members who include the
local Zionist leadership, as
means of honoring Kaplan
whose retirement was an-
nounced last week.
Participants in the pro-
gram planned for the tes-
timonial include Dr.
Samuel Cohen, national di-
rector of the JNF of
school- students (grades
nine-12).
