Economic Aide

WASHINGTON — Mar-
tin Feldstein, 42, has been
named by President Reagan
to be chairman of the
President's Council of Eco-
nomic Advisors.Feldstein is
an economics professor at
Harvard. He replaces Mur-
ray Weidenbaum who res-
igned last month to return
to teaching at Washington
University of St. Louis.

Center has planned a
Branch Bash Celebration 4
p.m. Sept. 12 at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Branch of
the Center in Oak Park.
Chairmen of the event,
Linda Soberman and Mar-
lene Boesky, said the after-
noon will include games and
prizes for children, Israeli
food, refreshments, clowns,
music and entertainment
by folksinger and host of the
"Hot Fudge" child}e-n's
show, Ron Coden.
The celebration will kick
off the new classes and im-
provements being im-
plemented at the Morris
Branch. New programs and

its recent election meeting.

Saxer, investment adviser,
will speak on "Understand-
ing Stocks and Bonds."
The public is invited to
both lectures.

Joyce Weckstein has pub-
lished • her second book on
racquetball, "Get Fit and
Play Racquetball."
A gym teacher, Mrs.
Weckstein also is the author
of "Racquetball for
Women." She is a nominee
for the Michigan Hall of
Fame-Amateur Sports.

Weberman Cited

Harry Weberman, a
counselor and assistant
principal in the Oak Park
school system for 27 years,
was recently interviewed
and will be profiled in an
upcoming issue of College
Board Review.
He is believed to be the
first teacher or counselor in
the U.S. to be profiled.
