JERUSALEM (JTA) — A
new 120-minute film, de-
picting the atrocities corn-
mitted by the Palestine Lib-
eration Organization in
Lebanon during its partici-
pation in the seven years of
civil war there, has been
produced by the Israel Film
Service, a department of the
Ministry of Education and
Culture.
Yigal Ephrati, the film
service director, said the
Foreign Ministry, the
Jewish Agency and Keren
Hayesod have already pur-
chased 200 copies of the film
"The Meaning of Libera-
tion" and expressed the
hope that the total number
of sales will reach 500.
The film was put together
in response to strong anti-
Israel criticism touched off
by Israel's move into Leba-
non. The film, which de-
scribes in a low-key style
the history of the takeover
by the PLO of large parts of
Lebanon, has been prepared
in English, French, Spanish
and German language ver-
sions.
