Medical Texts
Sent to Israel

As a continuing part of its
International Textbook
Distribution Program,
Project HOPE, non profit
health-care organization,
has sent 1,500 current med-
ical textbooks to Israel.
This is the 22nd country
to request and receive
recent-edition health sci-
ence textbooks needed by
educators, researchers, stu-
dents and practitioners , in
other nations.
The gift to Israel was
initiated by Paul Zuc-
kerman, with the sped'
request coming from Di.
Samuel Penchas, direc-
tor general of the Hadas-
sah Medical Organiza-
tion in Jerusalem. The
books were shipped
through the cooperation
of the Women's Zionist
Organization of America,
Inc. (Hadassah).
One-half the books ship-
ped to Dr. Penchas will go to
his organization's medical
library; the remainder will
go to university hospitals in
Jerusalem.
