'Ls Orel Carousal"

(Continued on Page 37)

Along with delicious
Greek food . . all kinds of
omelettes and hamburgers
. . . Fran and John will
soon have deep-dish square
pizza.
One of the favorites of
many people, Lemon Peel,
seating 144 . . . 96 in the
dining rooms and 48 in the
lounge, is open seven days
. . . with antiques on the
wall of one room . . . and
modernistic Broadway
show posters on the walls of
another room.
Top waiter Terry Antzak-
lis is a big customer favorite
with his vast know-how of
service.
John and Fran are among
the hardest-working owner
husband-and-wife couples
in the restaurant business
. . . with customer satisfac-
tion a prime importance to
them . . . You'd be amazed
at how many owners don't
really give a darn!

ELAINE KAHRNOFF,

one of Chef Joe Beato's ex-
cellent aides at Henry Ford
Hospital . . . was honored
among the outstanding em-
ployees in its Department of
Dietetics . . . Others were
Emma Dallas, Efthimos
Geowassilis and Marion
Paliwoda.
THE DELI PLACE at
Tally Hall, Orchard Lake at
14 Mile, has reopened . .
with an expanded menu and
new, warmer, cozier and in-
timate look . . . Seating is
all around for the menu that
now includes complete
dinner . . . and a full
Slimmery menu for weight

conscious and diet club
members . . . plus catering
to the needs of diabetics . . .
with line of dinners weighed
by scales.
Everything on menu is for
carry-out as well as eating
in . . . including the 50
different flavors of Slim-
mery diet dairy desserts and
pastries . . . Slimmery fro-
zen food is featured . . . and
for the first time . . . a deli
and Slimmery tray com-
bined.
Bob Benson of Slimmery,
who is spending so many
hours at Deli Place, and deli
owner Larry Kravetz, have
merged forces for what
could be a very happy busi-
ness marriage.

ACE PUBLIC RELA-
TIONS man Bill Garwood,

long associated with top
nitery entertainment . . .
(Elmwood Casino, Michi-
gan Palace, Lofy's, Moon
Supper Club, db's at Hyatt
Regency in Dearborn, etc.)
is still pounding the typew-
riter for major clients . .
but also in another field
. . . that of western novels.
Bill has two on the mar-
ket . . . "Kill Him Again,"
the life and times of Billy
The Kid . . . and "Ringo's
Tombstone," dealing with
the Wyatt Earp gang at
Tombstone, Ariz.
The third, "Catch Kid
Curry," telling of the in-
famous Butch Cassidy's
Wild Bunch, is due out in
January.
The books are published
by Bath Street Press in Ann
Arbor . -. and are due to
hit the local bookstores for
the holiday season.
