"New Life Award," to be
presented to Rosenow at the
annual Einstein-Israel
Bond tribute dinner May 3
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Guttman was recipient of
the "New Life Award" at
last year's Einstein tribute
dinner. The award honors
those who survived the
Holocaust, made new lives
for themselves and now st-
rive to help build a new life
for the people of Israel
through the Israel Bond
program.

AMOS GANOR
Special guest at the
leadership reception will
be Israel Ambassador
Amos Ganor, director of
personnel in the Israel
Ministry for Foreign Af-
fairs.
Ganor was named Israel's
envoy to Liberia in August
1973. When Liberia severed
relations with Israel later
that year, he was appointed
consul of information and
cultural affairs at the Con-
sulate General of Israel in
New York where he later
served as deputy consul
general.
A career officer in the Is-
rael Ministry for Foreign
Affairs since 1957, Ganor
began his service abroad the
following year, represent-
ing his country for four
years at the Consulate Gen-
eral of Israel in Montreal.
Born and educated in Tel
Aviv, Ambassador Ganor
took part in Israel's War of
Independence and served
for four years in Israel's De-
fense Forces. Upon his dis-
charge in 1952, he enrolled
in the Tel Aviv School of
Law and Economics from
which he received his BA
degree in economics. Dur-
ing his period of service at
Israel's Consulate in
Montreal, he obtained a de-
gree in political science
from Sir George Williams
University.

Nobel laureate Rosalyn S.
Yalow will be at Sinai Hos-
pital of Detroit on Monday
to address physicians as
part of the Wayne County
Medical Society's Beaum-
ont Lecture series.
Dr. Yalow received the
Nobel Prize in physiology
and medicine in 1977 for the
development of radioim-
munoassay. She first used
the hormone measuring
technique in studying insu-
lin in diabetes, but it has
subsequently been applied
to measure or study other
hormones.
