U-M Hillel Lists Events

The Bnai Brith Hillel
Foundation at the Univer-
sity of Michigan in Ann
Arbor has announced its
schedule of events for April.
Prof. Mark Pinson of
Harvard will speak 4:00
p.m. Tuesday in the Modern
Language Building, Room
B-114. His topic will be
"Jewish Responsa: Sources
for East European History."
Prof. Jerrald Green of
U-M will speak at an oneg
Shabat at Hillel 9 p.m. April
10. His topic will be "The
Middle East Over the Next
Four Years."
There will be a special
memorial service for all
the millions of people kil-
led by the Nazis noon
today on the Diag.
There will be a Tay-Sachs
screening at Hillel 12-6 p.m.
Sunday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Monday at U-M Health

cussions will be led by Hillel
Director Michael Brooks.
On Sunday and April 12
at Hillel, Isareli dancing
will be held 1-3 p.m., a

brew Musicians will meet at

Meekreh (Jewish Hap-
penings on the Hill) is
sponsoring a home-made
Shabat dinner in
Markley Dormitory

break on Thursday in
Lloyd Dormitory.
The Union of Students for
Israel is running Israel
Awareness Days, April
13-15, featuring a rally at
noon on April 14 on the Diag
with guest-speaker Senator
Carl Levin. The group will
have an open meeting 8 p.m.
Tuesday in the under-
graduate library.
Jewish Joggers of Ann
Arbor will jog 'together 11
a.m. April 12.
The American Zionist
Youth Foundation repre-
sentative will be at Hillel
12-2 p.m. each Thursday,
and the kibutz representa-
tive will be available 3-5
p.m. Thursdays. The Aliya
Desk representative will
come to Ann Arbor 11
a.m.-4 p.m. April 16.
Once every 28 years,
according to tradition,
the sun stands in the
exact position at which it
stood at the time of crea-
tion. Hillel is marking
this event on Wednesday
with a traditional minyan
at 7:15 a.m. and a
celebration/discussion at
3:30 p.m.
Shabat services are held
weekly.
Full accommodations will
be made at Hillel for
Passover. Seders will be
held April 18 and 19, and
lunch and dinner will be
served throughout the holi-
day. Home hospitality can
be arranged for students by
calling Hillel, 663-3336.
Advance reservations for all
Passover meals must be
made by April 10.
