Flora Winton Is Chairman
of Reform Appeal Dinner

Flora Winton will chair
the Reform Jewish commu-
nity's tribute dinner honor-
ing Dr. and Mrs. Joseph
(Lillian) Maltzer June 7 at
Temple Emanu-El. The
dinner is sponsored by the
Metropolitan Detroit Fed-
eration of Reform
Synagogues.
Mrs. Winton served at
Temple Beth El as an assis-
tant to the late Irving I.
Katz, and subsequent to his
death last year, has coordi-
nated and supervised Beth
El's staff.
She is an officer of the
congregation and a member
of its board of trustees.
Previously, she served as
president of the sisterhood
of Temple Beth El and of the
Michigan State Temple Sis-
terhoods.
She also is active in a
multitude of communal
organizations, having
served as president of
Suburban Hills Chapter,
