Curtain System Is Donated to SZ Hospital

Through the donations of
many Detroiters, the new
Shaare Zedek Medical Cen-
ter in Jerusalem is now
equipped with the most ad-

Joel Fenley, president of the
Detroit based Safe-T-Trac
Co.
The cubicle curtain, a
main source of bacteria,
should be changed reg-
ularly and in some cases
after each patient.
The Safe-T-Trac sys-
tem enables anyone to
safely and quickly
change cubicle curtains.
The time savings will en-
able Shaare Zedek to re-
duce housekeeping costs
and safely provide a
sanitary room environ-
ment.
Sid Schwartz, president of
Temple Products Co. and
vice president of Safe-T-
Trac was instrumental in
working with Shaare
Zedek. Norman Allan, a
founder of the New Shaare
Zedek Medical Center, con-
tributed a major portion of
the costs.
To insure the proper fab-
rication of the system, Sol
Nusenbaum volunteered to
go to Israel with Philip
Schwartz of Safe-T-Trac.
The two of them spent two
weeks in Israel last Novem-
ber, fabricating the indi-
vidual track sections and
consulting with the Shaare
Zedek engineers about pro-
per installation and use of
the system. Their expenses
were paid by Safe-T-Trac.
The annual dinner of the
Detroit Friends of Shaare
Zedek Hospital will take
place 6 p.m. May 29 at the
Sheraton-Southfield Hotel.
Max Nosanchuk is chair-
man, Dr. David Maeir, di-
rector general of the hospi-
tal, is guest speaker and
Sam Cohodas of Ishpeming
will be the guest of honor.
For reservations, call
Alex Roberg, 544-8412.
