Aliya Council Founding Set

A group of aliya activists
are hosting a meeting 7:30
p.m. Thursday at the Morris
branch of the Jewish Com-
munity Center to form an
aliya council.
The meeting will include
a presentation by Harvey
Burg of the Boston Aliya
Council. The meeting is
hosted by Arlene Gould,
Barbara Lefton, Sol
Lachman, Gary Feinberg,
Shelly Jackier, Ruth Mar-
cus, Rayna Kogan, Reuben

Leibovich and Esther Tal.
The meeting is open to the
public but reservations are

May Day Parade

TEL AVIV (JTA) — May
Day, the international
workers holiday, was cele-
brated in Tel Aviv last week
by one of the largest parades
in the city's history with
close to 150,000 marchers
from cities, towns, kibutzim.
