BOSTON — Mandell L.

been named recipient of
Hebrew College's Philip W.
Lown Distinguished Serv-
ice Award which will be
presented to him at the col-

will be cited for "exemplary
leadership in the further-

-Active in the Detroit
Jewish community, Be-

Berman wrote the Lown

any of us who work on be-

community. All of us have
gotten as much personal
satisfaction as we may be
perceived to have given.
"All of us have ego,
energy, and self-
conceived management
ability which 'leadership'
gives us a chance to exer-
cise and satisfy . . . flat-
tered as I am by the
medal itself, I am particu-
larly delighted to be
associated with the name
of Philip Lown."
The medal was created by
the board of trustees of He-
