The High Holidays will
soon be here, and that gen-

watch their weight. How
often have you turned down

something more slimming?

Editor, The Jewish News:
We are writing about the
present impasse between
the teachers of the United
Hebrew Schools and the
board. We are parents of a
child who is to enter the
High School and are con-
cerned not only for him but
for the harm to the entire
Jewish community
We do not know the pre-.
cise matters in dispute..
What we do know is that the
teachers have offered to
submit all issues in dispute
to binding arbitration and
go back to work im-
mediately. This seems to us
fair and reasonable. It is
especially applicable to our
Jewish community with its
long tradition of solving
internal problems through
a Bet Din.
We therefore support the
teachers request for arbi-
tration and ask the board to
agree so that school may
begin immediately.
