Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith, will make a spe-
cial presentation. Everyone

WOMEN'S Council an-
nounces tickets are still
available for its fall festival
to take place 10:30 a.m.
Sunday at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Tickets will be
available at the door.

The United Nations Gen-.
eral Assembly, which
opened this week, will again
try to identify Zionism with
racism in order to de-
legitimatize Israel.
So warned Dr. William
Korey, director of interna-
tional policy research, at
last week's dinner at Adat
Shalom Synagogue that
began • the fund-raising
drive on behalf of the youth
activities of Bnai Brith.
Dr. Korey, who is an offi-
cial UN observer, believes
that Syria will press for the
repeal of Resolution 273,
which established the parti-
tion of Palestine in 1947,
and that Iraq will call for a
world-wide embargo of Is-
rael.
He also warned of the
influence of the Palesti-

lilting at the UN, citing the
International Day of Sol-
idarity with the Palesti-
nian People scheduled
for Nov. 29. "This was the
day the UN created Israel
in 1947," Dr. Korey said,
"and the Palestinians
will use it as a day of sor-
row."
The Palestinians will
show a film praising Yasir
Arafat and have a major ex-
hibit at the UN, Dr. Korey
said, to try to cover the re-
cord of Palestinian ter-
rorism in which more than
1,000 persons have been kil-
led, more than 2,000 injured
and more than 2,000 held
hostage.
Dr. Korey also told the
audience that only Israel
has tried to sound the alarm
for the Christians of Leba-
