Spitzer's Celebrates 30 Years

Spitzer's of Harvard Row
is celebrating its 30th anni-
versary of serving the Jew-
ish community of Greater
Detroit.
The store carries a large
selection of Judaica : He-
brew, Yiddish and English
books for children and
adults, records, gift items,
jewelry, kiddush cups,

candle sticks and religious
items.
The Spitzers have also
added a line of Lucite mez-
zuzot, candlesticks, matzo
baskets and other items.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Spit-
zer started their first store
on Dexter and moved with
the Jewish community to
Wyoming-Curtis, Oak Park,
and now Harvard Row.

the Spitzers have been giv-
ing away Israeli bubble
gum to children aged 3-80.

for the U.S. Senate.
Powers had announced his
intentions recently when he

tions Commission, but for-

paign Monday.

Mr. Timmreck has been at the same business location for the past 21 years. He formerly

served as President of Bassett Associates, Inc. Realtors which was subsequently purchased by

Cranbrook Associates, Inc. Realtors. Mr. Timmreck's accomplishments and credentials are

impressive. He holds a certificate in Real Estate from the University of Michigan, and is a

member of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers with the designation of Senior Residential
Appraiser.

Doris Baldridge has been in the real estate field in this area since 1953, is an Associate

Broker, a Director of the South Oakland County Board of Realtors, has served on Education

and other committees, and is Secretary-elect of the Board for 1978. Doris is past president of
Women's Council (1972 and 1973). She was selected "Woman of the Year" in 1972. She and

husband Fred have 3 grown children, Stephen, Nancy and Michael.

Sylvia Stern has been active in real estate sales in South Oakland County for the past 12
years. She is a Board member of the South Oakland County Realtors and is currently serving

as Realtor Associate Director for the year of 1977-78. Sylvia has also served as Vice President
is also a Director of the Michigan Association of Realtors
of the Women's Council, 1975.
