JNF Women's Gifts Committee
Actively Seeks Campaign Goal
Members of the Special Gifts Committee of the Women of
Jewish National Fund, who have been working for large
gifts to complete the $250,000 Youth Camp in the American
Bicentennial Park in Israel, are, from left: Belle Hordes,
Fanny Cooper, Shirley Kraft program chairman; Betty
Silverman, fund-raising chairman; Edith Kolodney, Helen
Rosenfeld and Pearl Nosan. Not pictured are Libbie Posen
and Diane Levine, president. In an article in last week's
Jewish News, recalling the history of Women of JNF, the
names of some early presidents were inadvertently
omitted. Among them are Mrs. Philip Slomovitz, Mrs. Ida
Baker and Mrs. I. Faxstein, an original organizer of the
women's unit, who continues as one of the leading workers
in the JNF movement.
