Michigan Hadassah members and aliya chairmen were
in Israel recently to meet with new immigrants to the
Jewish state. Shown at the Hadassah-Hebrew University
Medical Center in Jerusalem, are, from left: Mrs. Leonard
Baruch; Mrs. Paul Gould; Janet Pont, aliya chairman of
the Eleanor Roosevelt Group; Arlene Landau of Kala-
mazoo, aliya chairman of the Kalamazoo Chapter; and
Prof. Emil Blair, an oleh from the University of Denver,
who came to Hadassah-Hebrew University Hospital in
Jerusalem to head its emergency department. Pictured
behind the women is the hospital's honor roll, naming
Hadassah chapters which have helped build the medical
center.

AMSTERDAM—Pieter
Menten, a millionaire Dutch
art collector, was sentenced
Wednesday to 15 years in
prison for killing 20-30 Jews
in the Polish village of Pod-
horoce in 1941.
Menten fled to Switzer-
land last year just before
the Dutch issued a warrant
for his arrest. Charges that
his art collection were
partly war booty have not
been sutstantiated but
Dutch authorities have
impounded a large part of
the collection.

mouth"—i.e., the inter-
pretation; hence, are
fulfilled.
