Two sisters, students of
the Temple Israel High
School, will observe Bat
Mitzva 11 a.m. Saturday in
the temple.
Gayle Leslie Shore, 17,
and' Karen Stacey Shore, 15,
decided to undergo training
for Bat Mitzva last year,
even though the traditional
age for the ceremony is 13.
The sisters, daughters of
Mr. and Mrs. Joel Shore of
Southfield, agree that Bat
Mitzva was an outgrowth of
the summer pilgrimage
each had made to Israel as
part of the Temple Israel
high school group.
Each is active in. the
TeMple Israel Youth Group
and high school program.
